What do you do to design a website?

First we consult with you to discuss your requirements and objectives. If you already have a logo or other visual branding materials, we incorporate that "look and feel" into the design. We present you with several design ideas from which you choose and we build your site from the template.

What do I have to provide to have a site designed?

You will provide the content - the text and the graphics unless otherwise specified. If you need help in either area we can provide it. We then take that content and insert it into the HTML template.

What is HTML?

HTML is the markup language or code that lets web browsers like Internet Explorer see your content (text and graphics) and display them as a web page.

What if I don't like the design?

During the consultation process, after you have chosen the basic design you like, we will alter it to further suit your preferences.

How can I change the style of my whole site quickly?

We use CSS to define the layout, background colours and images and the font selection. Changing the CSS document alters the look of the entire site.

What is CSS?

CSS stands for Cascading Style Sheet. It is a hidden web file that contains definitions for sizes, colours and layout particulars of the site. With just a few changes to the file the entire look of the site can be altered.

Can I update or change my site myself?

You can have control of part or all of your site using a CMS

What is a CMS?

A Content Management System allows you to modify the content of your website, both text and graphics, from your browser.

What does a whole site cost?

The cost of a site is dependent on size and complexity - whether it's a one-page "business card on the web" or an entire e-commerce business site, it's all about what you need and what you want.
